Meet Doctor Victor J. Rizzo
Dr. Victor J. Rizzo is a 1982 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, and did his undergraduate work at Penn State University as a Biology major. He has held a chiropractic office in Altoona, PA since 1983. Dr. Rizzo chose his profession as a Doctor of Chiropractic after seeing, firsthand, the many patients helped by his own father at his practice in Patton, Pennsylvania. It was common for young Victor to see patients arrive in such severe pain that they needed assistance, then see these same patients walking out of the office freely. This made a lasting impression, and it is why Dr. Rizzo has been practicing for more than 30 years in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Rizzo is the oldest child of a large family born to the late Victor F. Rizzo D.C. and Florence Rizzo from the Patton/St. Lawrence PA area. His father was the town chiropractor of Patton PA for 40 years. He has two brothers and a sister who are also chiropractors.
Dr. Rizzo is a cycling enthusiast and an avid guitarist. He has been the event chairman for the Mishler Theatre Bands Together for Charity music show. He has coached youth baseball, basketball, soccer and girl’s fastpitch softball. Dr. Rizzo has also been a lifetime member of the American Chiropractic Society and the PA Chiropractic Association. He has held multiple positions in the PA Chiropractic Association and is the chiropractic representative to the Radiation Protection Advisory Committee in PA. He has 3 lovely children, Dr. Melissa Lopez-Larson, Matthew and Didi.
